The man who would be the first professional wrestler to wrestle Rikidozan, and be a part of the group who re-introduced wrestling to Japan and the sumo wrestling council.
He would also go on to be a stuntman in Hollywood, along with being one of the more recognizable names during the 1920's and 1930's. In his memoirs, Billy Robinson recalled Baffert as a good catch wrestler. Baffert also competed as a boxer.
He passed away on October 3, 1939.
