Born on February 27, 1929 in George he was tough and ruthless like you'd expect back in the day. In fact, he even trained Ox Baker. He also was the owner of one of the most devastating piledrivers of his generation.
During his career, he was known as: Austin Rogers, Bulldog Austin, Francis Gabor, Frank Gabor, Frankie Gabor and Killer Austin.
He had some success in the NWA (Group), if we speak about tiles: Former NWA Southern Heavyweight Champion (Florida), NWA Central States Tag Team Title, NWA Central States Heavyweight Belt twice, NWA Texas Heavyweight Title, NWA Hawaii Tag Team Championship and the NWA North American Tag Team Belt.
In addition, he also achieved the gold in some other promotions and territories such as: JWA's All Asia Tag Team Title, WWA's World Tag Team Championship, the WWWF US Tag Team Title, NAWA/WWA's World Heavyweight Championship (3 times), the WWA World Tag Team Title, and the IWA World tag Team Championship.
Among his greatest opponents, we find names like: Rikidozan, Great Togo, Pedro Morales, Emil Dupree, Dino Bravo, Pepper Gomez, Buddy Rogers, Eddie Graham, Nick Bockwinkel, Bruno Sammartino, Bobo Brazil, Mark Lewin, T-Bolt Patterson, Haystacks Calhoun, Freddie Blassie, Rufus Jones and Arnold Skaaland, are just some of the most well known names.
He died in August 13, 1981 in San Joaquin, California.
